Basic CPR for Allenbrook Residents

Chloe Matula, EMT with years of experience with the Baytown Fire Department, will teach introductory CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation).  This is a special class for Allenbrook residents, but guests are welcome.

Please join us Monday evening, April 29th, 7pm, Baytown Fire Training Field, 7022 Bayway Drive, 77520

This will be a very basic course in emergency CPR for Moms, Dads, Teens, and Retirees, any resident of the Allenbrook Neighbors Association.

It’s what to do while 1st Responders are on their way; it’s not a comprehensive course.  It does not lead to certification.  This is a 1 hour introduction only; during the hour, Chloe will welcome inquiries about training which may lead to certification.

— Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique that’s useful in many emergencies in which someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped.

— For example, when someone has a heart attack or nearly drowns.

— The American Heart Association recommends starting CPR with hard and fast chest compressions.

— This hands-only CPR recommendation applies to both untrained bystanders and first responders.

— If you’re unsure how to perform CPR correctly, know that it’s always better to try than to do nothing at all.

The difference between doing something and doing nothing could be someone’s life.

It’s also a chance for Allenbrook Neighbors to get to know each other before some life-threatening emergency arises!
